The rail clamp connects to the crane trolley via a hole at the rear end of the clamp shaft. As the trolley moves, it drags (or pushes) the rail clamp to move synchronously. Under its own weight, the guide wheels roll along a serpentine track, while the guide wheel bracket and clamp shaft enable the entire rail clamp to float smoothly along the fixed axis on the rail surface, ensuring stable operation.
The automatic rail clamp can lock the gantry crane onto the rail, preventing unintended sliding caused by unexpected thrust. It automatically releases during trolley movement and clamps tight in all other states. The system uses Siemens PLC control to automate coordinated actions such as crane travel start/stop, brake engagement/release, and rail clamp opening/clamping—significantly enhancing the stability and safety of the equipment.
As a critical safety device, the rail clamp prevents outdoor cranes from sliding along rails under strong wind conditions. Typically, clamps fixed to the crane’s base frame grip both sides of the rail head firmly to prevent slipping.

The main girder will be divided into different pieces, each part’s length is within 11.8m. When client receive the goods, just connect them with high strength bolt is okay.
