asic Project Information
01-Project Overview
In January 2025, our company successfully exported a European-style single-girder overhead crane to a steel processing enterprise in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The system features a dual-hook configuration (8+8 tons), designed for lifting and transporting steel profiles and plates within the workshop. Due to limited headroom in the facility, the client required a compact crane structure with high-precision synchronized lifting capabilities.
02-Industry Background
Steel processing workshops often involve synchronous handling of heavy materials such as steel plates, profiles, and H-beams. These operations demand lifting equipment with high precision, synchronization, structural strength, and performance for frequent use. The customer’s existing crane was a single-hook model, which led to swaying loads and safety concerns. An upgrade to a more efficient and safer European dual-hook crane system was urgently needed.
03-Customer Requirements
- Synchronous lifting of heavy steel materials to prevent load imbalance
- Stable operation and structural integrity across a long span (24.7 m)
- Compact structure with low headroom design to fit the limited space
- Capability to operate under high-frequency, heavy-duty conditions
- Flexible control system suitable for multi-operator usage via wireless remote
04-Solution
We provided a customized European-style single-girder dual-hoist crane solution, featuring two low-headroom electric wire rope hoists with synchronized control to ensure smooth and safe dual-point lifting. The crane’s structure was optimized for the 24.7-meter span, with a lightweight and stress-optimized main beam to enhance performance while reducing energy consumption. The control system includes intelligent monitoring modules and reserved remote interfaces, enabling future digital upgrades.
05-Project Highlights
- Synchronized Dual-Hook Lifting: Two electric hoists operate in precise synchronization to ensure stable load handling
- Long-Span Structural Design: 24.7-meter main beam with high strength and smooth operation
- Compact Layout: Low-headroom hoists maximize vertical lifting range within limited workshop height
- Heavy-Duty Ready: M5 working class supports high-frequency, continuous-duty operations
- Highly Rated by Client: After commissioning, the client reported a 30% improvement in lifting efficiency and plans to order 2 additional sets for a new workshop
